Vanaf het moment dat zieke rokers de tabaksindustrie aanklaagden in Nederland in 1999, volgde ik dat proces. ‘Verteller’ Cherry Duyns maakte er voor de VPRO een prachtige film over: ‘De lange adem & hoe het roken zijn onschuld verloor’ (2006).
Ik volgde als researcher de advocaten die de zieke rokers vertegenwoordigden in hun strijd tegen de tabaksindustrie. Bovendien deed ik een klein deel camerawerk. De film geeft een tijdsbeeld van de teloorgang van de sociale acceptatie van roken.
